Precision Laser Soldering and Solder-Ball Jetting System

The AOGEO precision laser soldering and solder-ball jetting system creates localized solder joints for semiconductor packaging, sensors and microelectronic assemblies. Laser heating melts the selected solder and supports wetting of the contact surfaces. The solder-delivery configuration follows the product design, using localized soldering or an individual-ball jetting route.

  • Applications: Join accessible pads, terminals and miniature interconnect points. Coordinate delivery and heating around joint geometry, solder volume and nearby component thermal limits. The ball-jetting route combines individual-ball dispensing, laser melting and controlled placement.
  • Process inputs and outputs: Inputs include workpieces with documented surface metallization, the specified solder alloy and joint drawings. Outputs are soldered assemblies, position and process records, and the agreed visual and electrical inspection results.
  • Configuration discussion: Select laser heating and solder-feed or ball-dispensing modules for the chosen delivery route. Review vision positioning, nozzle clearance, shielding atmosphere, flux management, temperature monitoring and workpiece fixturing as part of the assembly process.
  • Quality and acceptance: Inspect wetting, joint position and volume, bridging, voids and spatter. Combine cross-sections, resistance measurements and pull or shear tests to examine joint formation, while checking heat-sensitive devices and substrates under agreed conditions.
  • RFQ information: Provide pad materials and finishes, solder designation, delivery method, joint layout and allowed thermal exposure. Include access drawings, representative workpieces, inspection criteria and requirements for cleanliness, traceability and automation.

ENGINEERING SELECTION

Engineering selection starts with four inputs

A model number is only a starting point. Define the part, target, cycle time and integration conditions to build a verifiable configuration.

01

Part & material

Provide material, dimensions, thickness, surface condition and fixturing requirements.

02

Process & quality targets

Define the required result, precision, appearance and consistency criteria.

03

Cycle time & output

Provide target cycle time, shifts, loading method and changeover frequency to size the system correctly.

04

Automation & interfaces

Evaluate vision, traceability, robotics, material handling and production-line communication requirements.

FAQ

Questions before starting a project

Confirm the project boundary before sample testing and engineering configuration to reduce selection cycles.

View service & support
What information is needed before equipment selection?

Share part drawings or photos, material and thickness, process location, quality standard, target cycle time, and automation or interface requirements.

Is the configuration shown in the video final?

Videos illustrate operation and process direction. Laser source, optics, motion, tooling, vision and safety are configured for the actual part and project targets.

Do you support sample testing and process validation?

Yes. Submit materials, drawings and acceptance criteria; after the test scope is agreed, results can guide equipment selection.

How is the delivery scope defined?

The agreed project documents define the scope, which may include equipment, process validation, tooling, automation, training and service support.
